What is the Spokane Gives Month?

Spokane Gives is a month of unprecedented giving in our region and will be occurring during the entire month of April 2017. You are encouraged to look at the Chamber’s Events Calendar in April for Spokane Gives events and volunteer opportunities. Each Spokane Gives event is marked with a SG in the event title.

Spokane Gives is intended to support the already impressive volunteerism and compassion in our community. Spokane Gives month establishes a network of volunteer opportunities that matches our community interest and needs.

Non-profit community service and faith based organizations in Deer Park are encouraged to list their local projects for Spokane Gives 2017 on VolunteerSpokane.org.   If  your organization does not have an agency profile, go to http://www.volunteerspokane.org/agency/signup/ and create one. They will then approve the organization and send them a confirmation and an online invitation to participate in Spokane Gives to connect with thousands of volunteers who are out in force during the month of April. For individual volunteers who want to be involved they can create a volunteer profile on the same platform at http://www.volunteerspokane.org/user/register/. They will then be able to see all of the opportunities available to participate in, not only for Spokane Gives, but all year-round! There are projects already listed and more will be coming in every day!

Encouraging year-round volunteerism

Spokane Gives encourages year-round volunteerism. Our partnership with Spokane County United Way enables us to track volunteer efforts in our community to measure our outputs (volunteerism) that are resulting in sustained and impactful outcomes.

VolunteerSpokane.org is the platform that registers agencies, volunteers, and service events that contribute to the lasting impact Spokane Gives has on our community. VolunteerSpokane.org serves as the year-round platform to search for volunteer opportunities in our community.
