Saturday, November 24, 2018
The November Chamber luncheon featured Jane Larson, Relationship Manager for Small Business Banking from Washington Trust Bank. Jane spoke about a variety of topics related to helping small businesses be more successful. Topics including tips on how businesses can protect their personal and business credit scores, outlining advantages and disadvantages of using on-line lenders for business financing, considerations for protecting personal and business assets, and options for adjusting the timing business purchases.
In other business, one of our newest members, State Farm Insurance agent Billy Costello, announced that his office was hosting a “Pictures with Santa” event on Saturday, December 1st.
Former Chamber President and member of the Chamber’s Membership Committee, Ryan Moore, reminded attendees that there are openings on the Chamber Board for next year. If anyone wishes to nominate someone (or themselves) to be on the Board, please contact Rose and the chamber office at 276-5900. The election of new Board members will be held at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting – December luncheon scheduled for December 11th. There will be a special $100 cash drawing at the meeting. If you are going to make a meeting this year, this is the one to attend.
The Featured Business of the Month for December is Ed Broberg Photography.
Finally, attendees wish to extend a big thank you to Doug Knight of Knight Boat Docks/Knight Construction for sponsoring the November luncheon. The luncheon was catered by the Picket Fence.
