  • Settlers Day Parade and Picinic

    Deer Park Settlers days is the oldest continuous community celebration in the State of Washington, running over 100 years. This organization is ran by area volunteers who put together a wonderful day full of family events. Annual Settlers Day event takes place the 4th weekend in July.

    The main Settlers Parade begins at 10:00 AM: The main parade will start at various locations on East Crawford and proceed to Main Avenue, to Fourth Street and left on Fourth Street to Mix Park.

    Following the parade, food, craft and commercial booths will be at Mix Park, where many class and family reunions are scheduled, as well as community fun.

    The Deer Park School Board is comprised of five directors elected by Deer Park voters – each to a four year term. Four of the five directors in Deer Park represent a “director district,” while one member of the Deer Park Board is elected “at large” (that is, the seat is not tied to a Director District).

    All business of the School Board is conducted in open public meetings except for matters involving property or personnel issues. Simply stated, it is not the job of the Board to manage schools, but rather to oversee that schools are managed well.
